Remembrance Day

During the lead up to Remembrance Day, KS3 and KS4 students learned about the sacrifices made by soldiers who fought in the World Wars. In tutor time, the meaning of ‘for their tomorrow, we gave our today’ was discussed, and we considered how the soldiers on the front line as well as their families left behind would have lived. Our Key Stage 2 learners visited the local war memorial to see the poppy displays and to learn more about those soldiers that died during different wars.
