Primary Autumn Term
We hope you have had a lovely half term break. It was lovely to see so many of you at our Parents evening. It was a great opportunity to take a look at the children's work, both classrooms and many photos to demonstrate their wonderful progress. We are very proud of them.
The topic this term is the Rain forest and we have booked the company Zoo Lab to come into school and spend an hour with a live animal handling workshop. The children do not have to touch or hold any of the animals but it offers them a wonderful learning opportunity.
On Friday 25th September we hosted the World Biggest Coffee Morning to support Macmillan. The children were fantastic and really enjoyed baking cakes and selling them. We are proud to have raised £87.35 thank you for all of your support and donations.
On Thursday during Halloween, we really enjoyed carving pumpkins. The children created their own designs then carved it out.
We are really pleased with the progress being made in cooking. Learning to cook together, share ingredients and recipes. we will not always cook/bake something that comes home. For example this week we cooked fish pancakes and the children ate them at school.
